Screen-print with Embossing Ink on Laser Cut Plywood

Dimensions variable

Unique

Behind this series of laser cut screen-prints is an exploration and reflection of human interventions, focusing on the act of feeding. The action is usually associated with cooking, food, mouth, and the body. In this series, we are shifting the perspective on what feeding can be in the context of Singapore’s waterways.

The use of objects in this series is to represent nonsensical feeding, as trash are commonly found in all waterways in Singapore. From the object’s point of view, the printed images depict how the objects view us as they float, sink, and get fully submerged. Each piece offers a lens into an entirely different dimension in which most Singaporeans have yet to explore. Therefore, this series was made to convey the impact that water pollution has, towards nature and the water quality for our daily consumption.
