In this series of blue imprints, the introduction of human contribution and interference towards fresh waterways in Singapore are key components as our native freshwater fish experience extinction. Over the years, this group of local species in Singapore have been disappearing in large numbers, due to human disruption; such as the releasing of invasive species, feeding of wild animals, littering in waterways, invasion of natural habitats with construction etc. Therefore, the colour blue intends to display the contrast between layers and challenge Singaporeans into reflecting on human intervention’s impact on the ecosystem.
